A warning pop-up came up on my screen and then I called the number and ended up being scammed by a "virus cleaner" that took over my computer to supposedly install security software it turns out I didn’t need. After speaking to someone after this happened, I immediately cancelled my credit card and the scammers have called non-stop as a result. I won’t pick up the phone. If your screen says your computer is about to freeze or lock down or explode or something, DO NOT CALL the number.

While I was working on my computer, a pop up screen message appeared saying my computer was hacked. The message asked if I wanted to get it fixed. I said yes by clicking to the question. My charge card was charged $299.00. A few weeks later, I noticed other charges that I didn’t make.
