I was contacted at work, my supervisor relayed a written message stating that these people planned to meet with me Friday to sign paperwork. When I returned the call a woman identified herself as Victoria and that she was a law firm trying to serve me for court for a credit card debt. She was trying to get me to settle over the phone and I requested she send me something in writing as I was unsure this was even a valid debt. A Eric Hernandez sent the requested information, however this is an account that was paid many years ago. I checked out the business name and they do not exist. The address listed is at a paid PO box mailing business.

Voicemail was left saying they will come serve papers. When they called them, they said they are a debt collection agency collecting on a debt that the person was not sure was real. They had a lot of personal information on the victim. They set up a payment plan and sent a letter to confirm the plan. Victim could not find info on this company. And the address is to a postal store. They found an article linking debt collection scam to that postal store address. *** ***
