Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
A person named David Scott who says he was from Goldtrust Mortgage Company in California called to offer to refinance our home mortgage. You are told they can give you a loan based on your income, you need to send them $1500 upfront to cover costs for Title, escrow,processing and appraisal, you are told you will get that money back if the loan is not approved. You send the money and then he won’t return your emails or calls. It is not a legitimate business. I have seen posts on the Trulia website from other people who have also encountered this same person.
