Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I placed an ad on Facebook to sell a prom dress for $300 and a facebook page named "*** ***" contacted me to purchase the dress. They said they were with "Highline Schools Foundation" and that they collect dresses for high school girls. They said they would mail me a check and when I got the check and it cleared the bank that I could mail the dress. But several days later I got a message that said there had been an error and that the check was accidentally wrote for $2150.00 and so I would need to cash the check and keep my $300 and mail them the balance. I did receive the check and it was drawn on the name of "Grace Pacific LLC" PO Box 78 Honolulu, Hawaii 96810 through First Hawaiian Bank, Honolulu, Hawaii 96813 Of course the check is no good.
