ON 8/17/16 I obtained a referral from my daughter, that was obtained from a Jennifer Law on the Ferndale Forum on Facebook. I called and Mr Harbert came to my daughter’s residence and wrote up a contract to do some repairs to the gutters and install gutter guard. He stated he could complete the work on Saturday 8/20/16. He asked for a deposit. I wrote him a personal check from my bank in the amount of $400.00. He stated he did not like dealing with the bank because they always gave his bank a hard time. I offered a credit card or to transfer money to his account but he refused, stating the bank would just have to deal with my bank. ( I think he wanted me to offer him cash) The check was cashed and cleared my bank on 8/18/16. On Saturday, he did not show or call me. I texted him twice in the morning and received no response. I then called the phone number and got a recording stating "the person at this number is busy and not accepting calls at this time. We are sorry for an inconvenience this has caused. Then another recording stated that all circuits were busy. Attempts were made to contact him thru the Ferndale Forum to no avail. As of today, Sunday 8/21 the phone is still not in service.
