After calling the 888 number from their website, I asked a question and was hung up on, called back, asked what services they offer, the man says email services for google. Then hung up on me, I called back and asked for someone else, he cursed at me and hung up. I’m guessing these are guys in India collecting email passwords and such possibly credit card numbers for services rendered..

I got some boxes that popped up on my computer: 1) Please call Google Chrome Support Centre Immediately at 1-844-489-6111. A porn virus has been detected by firewall. Do not press any key or ignore this critical alert. Your computer access is disabled for security reason and to prevent from further damage to your device call right now 1-844-489-6111 to Google Support immediately so our engineers can walk you through the removal of this porn virus over the phone. Call right now at Google Technical Support toll free no +1-844-489-6111.
I took a picture of this info with my iPhone but was unable to attach it because of the black background. If you know of a way, I still have it saved to my iPhone.
2) There was another box that said Application exe has stopped working Google Chrome Support Centre Porn Virus
Application .exe has stopped working. Window can check online for solution to the problem.
3) Window also had lettering that Login failed and the computer was locked.
I called the Geek Squad and they told me it was a scam and to just hold down the power button to get rid of them.
Note: I called the number 1-844-489-6111 and tried to speak to the man on the other line. He was very difficult to understand and I hung up on him. He got my phone number and called me back 3 times from number 1-855-247-0714. I will be blocking both numbers on my phone via Comcast. He didn’t get any money since I hung up before he could get more info.

Type of a scam Tech Support
On 6-1-17 @ 3:15PM I received a phone call. Once I answered the phone, the person identified themselves with Google tech support. I asked again who they were and again the woman said that she was with Google tech support . I said that I knew this was a scam , told her to lose my phone number and if she called again I would report her . The number that showed on my call list was 832-909-0109 and showed the call originated in Houston, Tx. I’ve also reported this incident to Midland Police Department.
