I went to online and my Mac Pro locked warning me to call this number, 1-800-517-8340 that my laptop had a virus. It also said that I wouldn’t be able to use the internet until I fixed this problem, it was for the computer’s protection. I did call and they offered me a lifetime care of it and I payed the $699.00. They also told me I needed to call once a month so they could monitor and clean my laptop. They call after the cleaning and have you restart your computer and check to see if everything is running smooth. They call back days later to make sure everything is running smooth. The following month I called for my clean up. I have them read my ID and Transaction ID to me–they said never give it out, but ask the techs to read it back to me. Then the tech asked me for my password to get back in my computer, and thats when red flags popped up in my mind. I refused. It was weird because the initial tech from the first time said they would always call back asking to restart the computer. The techs sound like they are from India, but there are so many nations here in America working that I didn’t think anything wrong. They seemed so efficient .
