Type of a scam Advance Fee Loan
A friend’s Facebook was "mirrored" and his friends started getting texts with his name on it but it wasn’t from him. He says he received a $100,000 federal grant and maybe I could too. He gives a number to text and when I do I’m told I’m eligible for a grant and just need to pay a servicing fee. I trusted the friend so I sent the money and never received any grant money and then found out it was not my friend initially.
