Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
After losing my job, I was desperately trying to find a job. Usually I’m very lucky and find a job in 2 weeks and it’s been over a month. I got an email stating that my resume had stood out and to contact this person at this email address to start an “interview” which was Deborah Babb at [email protected] . It seemed odd but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. This person sent me the legit company’s website and told me to get familiar with what they do and to get back at her if I was still interested, I was. She was conducting an interview through GOOGLE HANGOUTS and I was “offered” the job and was told I’d get a check sent over to buy the softwares I needed for work. Literally the check got to me the next day through mail. The check was way too good to be true and I was catching on but as desperate as I was, I still gave them the benefit of the doubt. I deposited the check into my account, and I was to wait 1 week to have the money cleared. This person stated that it would delay my “training” and i would need to pay out of pocket and that they would reimburse me. They also said they would send me the LINK of where i needed to purchase these softwares. I told them no. After more and more research, I looked on envision healthcare’s website and came across their blogs to find out the company stated that they in no form do interviews via email and to watch out as this was an identification thief. I had received an offer letter and all that was VERY legit, so it seemed. I contacted this person and told them I found out about the scam and I got blocked.
