Type of a scam Online Purchase
A car was posted on craigslist. I responded yo the ad and asked to come see the car. Was responded back to by seller stating the car was in a shipping crate ready to be shipped because she moved out of state and had a previous buyer in Iowa and he couldn’t get the money. I was told purchase would be thru ebay and they would contact me with the information needed to purchase the car and was told i would have 5 days to decide if i would keep it. Then i received emails from an [email protected] I then went and purchased 2 onevanilla prepaid visa cards being the only way the would take payment. So i provided all information needed to purchase the car. About an hour later i called ebay to confirm payment was received and was informed that i had been scammed. My order id did not exist with ebay
