Our congregation members started to receive letters at the end of October 2017 from a Eugene Frolov in Omaha, NE. In it he asks them to give a donation online through PayPal or to return the cash gift in the self-addressed stamped envelope that is enclosed. Our church logo and mission statement were used on the envelopes and the letter inside, but it did not come from our congregation, our district, or our conference. We currently have 23 of the letters and have notified our members and our conference of this scam. We have also filed a police report and a mail fraud report with the US Postal Service.
