We found a dog on Craig’s list we wanted to buy, but the owner was out of state. He (Ashu Peterson 706-343-8168) said he could ship it. We did a money transfer and then we got an email from Ebony Pet Movers confirming the dog was ready, but did not have a proper shipping crate and needed an additional vaccine. The email asked for a money transfer. The crate could be rented for $400 and refunded in cash at the time of delivery. This email asking for a money transfer definitely confirmed we were scammed. We told Ashu he needed to handle this because that is not what we agreed on. He tried to get us to split it with him. The Ebony supervisor (Alex Huffman 667-401-7599) called my husband more than once accusing us of dog abandonment, that we had agreed, that the dog belonged to us and that he called the authorities. We asked for his authorities name and number, but was never given it. While this was going on Ashu was still trying to get some more money out of us saying their was a cancellation fee that we should pay for. This went on for a full day and then we had no more responses. We definitely should have known better, stupid moment, lost $350.
