Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I received an email about earning money by being a mystery shopper. I do a lot of shopping so I thought why not, I’m in the process of house hunting. So I said I was interested. Later that week I received text saying they are mailing me my first assignment and a check. When I received the check I cashed it at my financial institution as directed. By the end of the week I received a call from my financial institution saying my account has been locked until I pay the amount the check was for back to the financial institution. I was told this was fraud/scam! Now because of this I am in the hole and have no way out!
