Alert window said ‘my computer has been blocked, and placed on our secure server, due to suspicious activity’ ‘call 855 256 0520 immediately’ then asked for access to my computer to run a scan. Then tried to sell me software and tech support plans ranging from $199 -399, 6 months to 2 years. I called Microsoft to tell them about it and they said this was an ‘unauthorized service provider’

I clicked on a fake WhatsApp voicemail notification email which launched a notice that my Apple computer was locked/hacked and to call Apple Co. at 877-554-1826 to fix the problem. The notice had the Apple computer logo on the left with the tag line "Power by Apple Inc.". I spoke with 3 different representatives that convinced me to allow them access to my computer via GotoAssist, where they dowloaded different free software supposedly to clean my computer and resolve the problem. I paid for an online technical support package and was told that the charge would be coming from Kivi Solutions (www.kivisolutions.co.uk). The representative created an email during the call where I was told to provide feedback and consent to the credit card charge. I believe they are asked for my consent on the call for the credit charge.
I discovered similar cases of this scam several hours later. I went to an Apple Store to check out my computer the next day and was told that they have been seeing similar cases of this phishing scam.
