I found a used washer and dryer for sale on Craigslist and contacted the owner, who told me he has a business remodeling houses and he also sells appliances that are 2 to 3 years old at most. I paid $580 for a working washer & dryer and a 30-day warranty on repairs. The first day that we used it, the washer began to leak, so we contacted the owner right away to explain the problem. He never answered our calls. The fourth day, the dryer stopped working too. We called the owner repeatedly, but to this day he has not returned a single call. He has not honored the 30-day warranty, we have a broken washer and dryer, and he still has our money.
