Type of a scam Employment
I was contacted about a work at home job, They were sending me a cashier’s check and then I was to contact a vendor of theirs to have a HP Pavilion laptop with a time tracker put in it. I was to do data entry from home. I became suspicious and asked two banks if it was a legitimate check. Both said probably not. I called the bank where the check was drawn on and they say no such cashier’s check was issued there to me.
