Type of a scam Employment
I applied to this "Marketing Firm" on ZipRecruiter. At first, they looked pretty legit and then some red flags popped up. First, I responded to an email by clicking on a time I wanted to come for an "interview," and not writing or talking to anyone. I then confirmed my interview time when prompted. After that, I got an email saying "It was a pleasure talking with you!" when I did not talk to anyone at that point. At around 8 pm, I get a text message asking to confirm my interview time (again). The text had bad grammar and it was unprofessional to text me at that time. I did not feel good about my interactions with them so I did some digging.
First, it is extremely difficult to find their website when you google them. I had to go back to my email and click on the link or find them on Glassdoor to get there. Second, I googled the office phone number that was given on their website (360-322-4973). All that came up were reviews of this phone number calling people, claiming to be collecting debt for the IRS. I then waited until morning and texted them that something came up and I couldn’t make it to the interview. They replied, verbatim: "Im sorry’ what happened??" Prying like that is extremely unprofessional and, as you can see, they have horrible grammar.
