*** *** email and called stating I was choosen to take surveys and earn some money. He sent me a check via fedex. I deposited the check and did the shopping and the instructions I was told. I didn’t think it was odd that I purchased gift cards. I did look up the bank information and the info sent. It seemed legit. Till I received a call from my bank stating that the check was fradulent and I am responsible for the check.

They contacted us, told us about a secret shopper assignment: cash the check, keep $350 and use the rest on various Walmart gift cards (which we must take pictures of as to test that they were properly accredited, I.e the scam part).
