I called the number listed on a notice I received in the mail listed as a Final Notice in regard to student loan debt consolidation and assistance with loan forgivenes. The person who answered said they are not affiliated with the government or Federal student loan servicing and got my info, including loan amounts from public records. This feels predatory and I asked to be removed from their contact list. The notice looks like a real federal student loan notice and is confusing to people who are already working with a loan servicer.
