Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I am selling a couch on Craigslist. This person emailed asking:
"I’ve seen your ad. are you the first owner and is it your final price ? I don’t check the email for Craig’s List , So text me at [email protected]"
I replied to the email requested:
"Hello,
I am the original owner. What price were you thinking?"
They sent:
"Good Morning,
Thanks for your swift response, I’ve been working really long weeks
at work. I won’t be able to meet with you to see the item but I’m OK
with the price and condition. I’ll send a certified check to you and
when you receive the payment and confirm, I will make arrangements for
the pickup. Get back to me with the below details asap.

Furthermore, once you provide the aforementioned details, the payment
will be send to you tomorrow morning and I will let you know when it’s
