Type of a scam Online Purchase
I was searching for an airline ticket. This site was online and had good flight times and prices. After I completed the transaction, I received a phone call with an update to a "better" flight at the same cost. The caller said he would send an email to which I must reply. This line in the email "I will not file a challenge or dispute to the charge that will be placed on my card for the above amount.
Date Name or Signature of ticket purchaser Day Time Phone" caused me to be suspicious. I did not reply and attempted to contact the company by phone over the next three days. Someone always answerd the phone, but they immediately transfered me to a line that just repeated, "Due to high call volume…". I waited as long as one hour on one occasion and tried the line eight different times. I never made contact with a person. The company charged my credit card account. I contacted the airlines, and there is NO ticket under my name.
