Type of a scam Tech Support
I received a call telling me my computer had been compromised and I needed to get it cleaned up. I received an invoice for $299, which I paid with my credit card.
The next day, I received a call telling me my Microsoft license needed to be updated, and I thought it was the same company so I went along with it. They told me because I am a senior citizen, I would be credited $60, which never happened.
I called my bank and disputed the $240, which was returned to my account. The company then called me to find out why I had filed a fraud claim against them. The lady told me the first company that called me is a scam out of Singapore, and she wanted me to dispute the $299 and unfile my dispute against her company.
At this point, I feel they both took advantage of me.
