Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Was on zip recruiter applying for a front office asst job. Received email saying was not open but they had a second job opening saying personal asst opening running errands to foster homes, making arrangements to buy items for children in foster homes. It would be mailing items via fed ex or ups. A certified cashier check was to be sent but I received a check from TD bank re: simarjit Jair in the amount of $2,755.50 but I did not cash or deposit knowing at this point it is a scam. They keep sending emails and texts messages asking me to deposit the check, keep $650 weekly salary but instead of errands I am to meet to give rest of money. But this is scary.
