I got an LG refrigerator less than a year old, and a couple of days ago I found that the ice maker was not working. So I called LG customer center. And LG says that they will send a service guy on Saturday. But out of blue, a guy called and told me that he got a call for my refrigerator. He came and said that LG is not covering their ice maker issues and told me that I need to pay about 400 dollars. If I paid he said he can fix it the next day. While he was at my home, I called LG and learned that they did not send the guy at my home. It still remains a mystery how he got information about my appliances situation. LG also told me that since my refrigerator is less than a year old, repair is free. When I told this mystery guy, he demanded that I need to pay a trip fee, which is 39 bucks. Since he was not authorized LG service guy, I told him that I can not pay he used expletive language, and I paid him because I don’t want to deal with him. I am adding a photo of him here given that he did not leave any of his personal information. The car in his background seems his main vehicle but lacks any logo.
