Type of a scam Identity Theft
On 06/21/19 at approximately 1135am a call was received with a recording stating SSN would be suspended if recipient did not call immediately. Number was called and scammer (with a heavy Spanish accent) stated there’s a warrant for my arrest, my vehicle was found in TX with blood and warrant for murder for my arrest and I will be arrested in 24 hrs if I do not cooperate. Scammer stated he is a federal officer-David Parks with badge # 86458HAC and case # is 0097, arrest # 60673. The scammer asked numerous questions about my employment history, reports I’ve made with LE (my wallet was stolen in 1973), credit accounts I have, etc. I was upset and provide the last 4 of my SSN to them. They did not ask for money but did tell me not to notify law enforcement or anyone else about the call.
