Type of a scam Business Email Compromise
I run a dog training and boarding service and have had several scams. The story is always similar.
“I’m moving to the area and need someone to watch my dog. Money isn’t an issue. Here are the dates (usually whatever works for you).
I’m sending my dog with food, shampoo, and all of their needs. Can I have your full name, address, phone number and email? When the check clears we can move forward”
When I ask them to book me directly from my website (electronic payment) they’re unwilling. When I ask for other electronic payment, they can only do cash. The story is always the same.
