Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I was contacted through my email address. I was given some information about being a mystery shopper and that I would be receiving payment and instructions on my assignment.
I did receive a check for $2750.00. I was given instructions to go to a pawn shop and make a small purchase and then to send out 2 money grams.
I was then to message back with answers to a few questions they posed about the experience of both transactions.
I have included some photos of what I received.
To some extent it was pretty convincing, but my gut made me think otherwise. I am glad that I continued to check this out until I got a definitive answer. Thank you ScamPulse.com for making available the information that is needed to make a better decision.
