Type of a scam Tech Support
I received a call from Windows Tech Department last March, 2019 from this company. I did receive more calls a few times this month, May, 2019. I had my computer fixed with this company last January, 2019 which was legit enough. Then last March, which was the first call, they called me and said that the company who fixed my computer is shutting down and will no longer provide services. The windows tech dept. who called me last March said that they will refund me for the charges I paid in the amount of $199.00. They asked me for my bank details so they can direct deposit the money to my account; which I gave them the info. After waiting for an hour and blacking my computer screen they were able to refund the $199.00 to my account. They even asked me to check my account while they waited. It showed that I had a credit refund of $1,300.00 in my account. The caller asked me to refund him the $1,100.00 as he made a mistake in refunding me the money. He even reasoned that if I didn’t give him back the $1,100.00 he will be terminated because of the mistake he made. So, I went to my bank and reported this and the bank closed my account. They said this is a scam. So I opened a new account with my bank. I would suggest that this company be investigated as they have been calling me again so many times trying to scam me again; as they were not able to scam me before. Thank you.
