A letter arrived addressed to my LLC from Division of Corporate Services, West Hartford, CT requesting $150 to fill out required annual filing of CT business forms. This scam attempts to appear CT government sponsored by quoting CT business laws and regulations. The California based 855 phone number listed on the form traces back to previously reported similar scams in other states.
The required forms that are quoted can be filed by the business owner at no cost using the Connecticut State CONCORD database.

Division of Corporate Services showing an address of 3105 S Martin Luther King Blvd in Lansing, MI (shows online as a UPS store) and a contact phone of 855-530-2615 solicits to small businesses to have them prepare formal annual minutes reports. The forms are clearly designed to imply they are a State of MI department to which businesses must report, but the fine print confirms they are providing an unnecessary service with no connection to the government.
