Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
I went online looking for a job and I saw an ad for a secret shopper. I never actually applied for the job, but I did fill out my name and address. I later received mail from Darryl Stone’s Staffing & Recruiting Department with a letter and a check. The check was for $2,450. The letter stated that I was supposed to deposit the check, immediately cash it and bring $2,100.00 to money gram. The directions told me to send the money gram to Baldwin Rodriguez in the Philippines.
