Last Thursday, my computer went crazy —started making this alarm sound and all the keys locked. There was a reference to Microsoft on the screen and said to call this number. I called and they informed me that my computer was being network hacked and that it would need to be fixed right now to protect myself and my info on computer. I was asked to pay via credit card $440 on the spot and they began remotely working on my computer. Needless to say, I had an uneasy feeling, but have never encountered anything like this, so I let them continue. After a few hours I got a call back that everything was alright with my computer and that it was all fixed. Now, I will have to bring my computer somewhere else where they can show me what was done and if indeed all of my info was stolen and if this is legit or not. When I called Microsoft, they told me that there are no third part affiliation and that I should immediately have someone inspect my computer and work n getting a refund.
