Type of a scam Government Grant
I live in Australia and was contacted via Facebook messenger by a friend (also Australian). I quickly knew it wasn’t my friend. He was excited about getting $150,000 from a government grant and urged me to apply. He sent me a link to click on and a picture of Donald Bullock, claiming to be a disbursement agent, and asked me to send him a friend request. Upon receiving the request, I could then apply for a government grant. I was smart enough not to click on the link or send a friend request. The person pretending to be my friend was not in Australia – he sent me the message with the link and instructions on what to do at around 4:30am local time.
