I applied to a job posting on Indeed as an adminastartive assistant. The company was called DCS Scholarship Foundation. The "company" is a scholarship foundation for international and underprivileged students to come to school in Canada or our students go to europe.
At first everything seemed legit, they asked for a resume, references, background check and followed by 2 phone interviews. After a couple days I recieved a phone call from the manager saying I was hired and to start my first assignment followed by filling out employee agreement forms and a direct deposit form.
Everything for the first week was normal, working from home, being in contact via messenger and email and by phone. Until I received an anonymous message from a man stating that the company I was just hired for was a scam. He provided me with all accurate information about the job that he would only know if he was in my position as well because all the information he told me was confidential and not web accessible. He proceeded to tell me that the company sent him fraud money when he was expecting his pay cheque from the company, which caused his account to be frozen due to fraudulent money and a police report to prove he wasn’t at fault.
PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANY INFORMATION TO THIS COMPANY OF PERSONAL INFO OR BANKING INFO

They are not listed in New Brunswick, no direct phone number, no postal code: I tried to look up their website but was not listed: they sent me the link that does work but if you look up DCS Foundation. ca it doesn’t work. This company says it is from Germany but no such company ever comes up in this name as well.
