In April 2018 I received a letter from Direct Prep Services of Irvine, California dated May 4, 2018 showing my total student loan debt and inviting me to determine if I was eligible for student loan consolidation and even complete loan forgiveness. I telephoned this company and the person with whom I spoke indicated that based on my income I was most likely eligible for loan forgiveness. The agent walked me through the process of establishing a new student FSA ID for this website: https://www.nslds.ed.gov and I completed that process. The agent said I had to provide Direct Prep Services with my social security number. I protested but the agent said it was routine and necessary to provide that information. I did so and later e-mailed the agent indicating I would report this.

I recieved letter in mail for debt consolidation i called and the rep said i needed to sign into my fsa and call him when done he asked for my email and phone number he sent me link. I regretted it right off saw on rip off report direct prep solutions and a lot of these companies are fraudulant. I called back and said i wanted my phone number removed from file and rep asked why and i said because they were frauds she hung up on me. I called back spoke with another rep who was rude asked for id # on letter i gave it to her she said no record i told her i just spoke with someone and they pulled up all my info she said well someone must have deleted it we dont keep numbers anyway and i said 5 min ago a rep asked for it she said well there isnt any info here thats invalid id# so i hung up she calls me right back from her direct line and sat on phone didnt say anything and then hung up on me so i called her line several times she blocked my number then the main 866 number blocked me i called from landline spoke to a manager told her everything by the way neither denied fruad after i explained about her rep playing on my phone and shady call she said what do you want me to do about it.
