I have had same experience. I have also read similar stories on BBB. It seems she is constantly telling people there is. A three month processing time, them there is a delay In obtaining the fabric or she was ill, Promising it is being worked on. When I asked for a refund she sent me a tracking number assuring me I would have it before Christmas. Then nothing. By the time I called credit card company they were not sure they could help bc it was so long.

Type of a scam Online Purchase

In October 2018 I ordered a blanket after being targeted by paid Facebook ads by Kat’s CT Handmade. I paid $65.00 USD which converted to about $85.00 CAD for me.

When I ordered there was nothing stating a 3 month processing time for her orders on her Facebook posts nor her website, I only found out about the wait time after I had ordered and saw someone else inquire about it on a Facebook post.

When 3 months had passed I reached out to confirm that my order was going to be shipped soon and it was then that I was told Kat had been sick twice and was running behind and that it would be shipped out mid-March.

Mid-March came and went and I received no tracking information and for the next few months I was told multiple times my blanket would be shipped out only to reach out to the seller to receive tracking and then being told it still hadn’t shipped. I was given multiple excuses for why my blanket had not shipped (she was sick, her husband was sick, she had a miscarriage…so on and so forth) and other times my blanket would be stuck in "pre-shipment" for weeks. Once it actually was "delivered" to the wrong province!

Never once did the seller reach out to me to indicate a delay and I always had to contact her first (sometimes I had to send multiple messages just to get a response).

After 8 months of lies and no product I asked for a refund which I was told I would receive in 5-10 business days. 10 business days later I had no refund and I again reached out to the seller who became angry with me and basically blamed me for everything. She ended up refusing to issue a refund because she was convinced I had already gone through my bank (despite me telling her I hadn’t done so and even providing screenshots of my phone call records).

She blocked me from her page which also blocked me from communicating with her. I then had to go to my bank to get a refund which I was lucky enough to receive after 8 months because normally banks only give you so many days before you can no longer dispute a charge.

I have been in contact with multiple other people who have also had the same issues as myself and some of them were unable to get a refund from their bank or the shop owner. She continues to run sales to gain more sales while not providing products to people who have already paid her. Unbelievable that she is still allowed to operate a business.
