Type of a scam Credit Cards
First they call with an automated message. When prompted to press the number to be taken off the call list, the line gets cut off. Today I pressed a number to be connected to tell them physically to take me off their list. The Indian man immediately told me no and when I said "yes, take me off of your list", he immediately started cursing at me and calling me all sorts of names. I then hung up and have blocked this phone number from my phone contacts.
I fell for this scam almost a year ago and almost gave them my full credit card number. After that I have been getting call scams on a regular basis and had my cell phone account hacked. They almost got away with an $800 phone.
