Type of a scam COVID-19
On April 30, 2020 I found a website that had Lysol & Clorox wipes in stock. I purchased a good amount of each item. I was nervous that it could be a scam but the website looked really good and legit. I was expected shipping would be longer than usual due to the virus and I was fine with that. I checked back on site a few times and they had a message about delayed shipping due to being short staffed but they were working hard to get everything shipped. That was fine too. I even checked the ScamPulse.com scam tracker a few times to see if they’ve been reported and nothing. So that was reassuring. Well I checked back on the site recently and it no longer exists. The weird thing is I received a tracking number so I felt relieved and excited cause I thought my stuff was actually gonna come. I started using shop app to track the package and it says that a label has been created and USPS has been awaiting the package since May 8. It also has shop & contact info. I was hoping for a phone number but they just had an email, [email protected] which sounds shady on its own.. and as you can see, the email doesn’t exist. With all that, I feel like they got me. This is a first for me so I’m not sure how to go about getting my money back.
