CPAP Automated Resupply Program

Type of a scam Credit Cards

I use a CPAP machine that I received through University of Michigan MedEquip. When I had my first consultation with one of their reps, I was provided with a supply re-order chart that has phone numbers on it to facilitate the re-order (see attached image). I called the 844 number for the Automated Resupply Program and an India-based call center answered. They requested my name, address, phone number, email, and credit card information, which I gave them thinking that this was a number provided to me by MedEquip and it must be legit. Then the person I was speaking with gave me a phone number to call if we were disconnected. Once I finished giving him my information the line hung up. I called the number provided in case of disconnection and it was 411 information. I called the other number on the MedEquip pamphlet, for the Resupply Team, and the rep said that they no longer use that Resupply Program and the number should have been disconnected. So a scammer has an active phone number that is on an official MedEquip re-order chart and is taking peoples credit card info. And MedEquip thinks that this number is disconnected. They could be using this to take credit card info from hundreds of people needing medical equipment and supplies. We have a phone number, here, to the scammers this time and not just accounts of people being called from an unknown number. Can an investigation be done on this? Thank You!
