Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
Signed up with Care.com. Care.com is not the scam. However I was contacted by someone who obtained my information from Care.com for babysitting services. They sent me a check in the amount of $2975.00 from Resource One Credit Union that was fedex to me at my home address. I deposited in my bank account but refused to go any further until funds cleared both banks. I called Resource One and they told me the check was fraud. They wanted me to keep 500.00 and the other 2400.00 was to be deposited to a Bank of America account. This is a copied and pasted insert of the email I received.
