Type of a scam Rental

I booked a vacation rental through AirBnB. I was contacted by AirBnB that the reservation was cancelled due to the vendor not having the updating license required to operate in San Francisco. I was told by AirBnB that AirBnB was working with the vendor to update his license. I was then contacted by the vendor with the same information, and he mostly does corporate rentals but would extend the courtesy to still stay at his place. He ("Steve") contacted me through my AirBnB email, and said he would text me the link to his business, Corporate Rental Vacations. The website seemed legitimate, and the story seemed legitimate as well. I booked through the site and received a confirmation number. However, I never received an email with information regarding the actual condo (location, check-in procedures, etc.). When I went to visit the website again, the server could not be found. I also emailed Steve but did not hear back. I called my credit card company and reported this company. They showed up as Joynr LLC on my credit card statement. I was charged over $2,000, which was supposed to pay for the condo I thought I was paying to use.
