Twice now I have gone to two separate Conserv Fuel stations and when I push the low octane button at the pump, the high octane button lights and starts pumping higher priced gas. I immediately stopped pumping and went and told attendant (was reimbursed by one station) Had I not been paying attention, I would have been paying more for gas than expected. Are pumps being programed to switch to high octane in order to generate more sales? How many other people have been scammed who didnt notice and payed more than they selected? The two Conserv Fuel stations are in Santa Maria, CA on Betteravia, and in Buellton. The issue did not happen every time.
