Replied to OMAHA be Craigslist post for a 2006 Brenderup 2 horse trailer by email. Received a response by email from a gentleman said he posted it for his sister. Received response from a “ Lisa Underwood “ said her husband past 2 months ago she moved closer to her daughter in another state and the trailer was with her. Several emails , pics etc exchanges. She said it was secured through eBay moters once payment was confirmed per the policy would be shipped . Received an email from EBay mother company . I called the help phone number listed on this detailed page, got a response to my questions etc. per the guidelines on the page because I had never used E bay moters payment had to be made with E bay cards. EBay cards warranty etc was listed and other e bay warranties. Paid 600.00 with 3 eBay cards as directed. Next day I called the help number they said they received the money would send verification email and start shipping . The help person used the same name as the help person from 2 days before … I then decided to look up the main eBay Motors phone numbers to verify the vnn purchase no. Transaction etc. to find out they had no such listing or seller , they traced the eBay card numbers and money was gone and if you do not use eBay cards with transactions that also use your own personal eBay accounts it is fictitious and the cards are not warranties, they are like cash. If I would look at lots of warnings for scammers I may of been flagged and cautionary, feel very very stupid . I hope by posting this someone else is warned
