Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order
My resume was viewed via Employ Georgia and I was contacted about a position I was to interview for online via Google Hangouts. I was supposedly hired. I was sent a $4900 check via FedEx for the purchase of a laptop and other working materials. After depositing the check into my account, my account was frozen and my banking privileges were removed. When I asked why the emails weren’t sent from cigna.com, I was informed they were one in the same but cignahcare.com was now used for hiring purposes. Upon insisting that I receive something from the cigna.com address, all contact ceased. This was while they were of the impression that the check would be cleared the next day.
