I heard this same call on the news , a few weeks ago. The woman laughs and says, sorry I’m having problems with my headset . I immediately hung up because the news said , they are trying to get you to say yes , when they say ,"can you hear me now " so they can record that and get access to your bank accounts !

I received a phone call from a voice recording for Marriott Hotels claiming that I had been awarded 80,000 reward points. When I selected option #1 to learn more about the offer I was directed to a live individual who asked if I was over the age of 35. I responded "YES" at which point the individual indicated that I would have to be redirected, began punching a series of numbers, and ultimately hung up.
