Type of a scam Fake Check/Money Order

I randomly revived a letter in the mail via USPS priority mail. In the envelope I found a letter and a check for $1900. The letter instructed me to deposit the check and use the funds to buy Walmart and eBay gift cards. Then I was to send pictures of the gift cards to the scammers phone number or email.

The check is fake and will bounce; then you will be on the hook for the money and if you’ve spent it or bought gift cards your now out $1900 and there’s nothing you can do.
