Recieved a text message from an email address ([email protected]) claiming to be Netflix telling me that my account would be canceled on May 1st 2020 and asked me to click the link for more details when I click the link it ask for my email. After entering my email it takes me to a page and asks for full name and address and once entered it ask for debit or credit card info. I entered a fake name and email and it still asked for my debit info and it said it the site was not secure. It was not Netflix. And also I didnt enter my debit info and my Netflix is still working fine.

I received a bizarre text claiming to be from "Netflix" stating that my payment was denied. Knowing Netflix would never text me since they don’t use sms for reports, I didn’t touch the link on my phone, and instead opened a virtual machine and analyzed the links. The first page has legit help links that lead to the real Netflix, but the main one sends you to a formn3t-flix/alldetails.html page. This page has broken links at the bottom, and the "Forgot your email or password" just sends you back to the broken "login" page. The images didn’t even load properly. Even if it’s quick, its obviously a scam when the page link doesn’t even lead to "Netflix". Likely, someone copied the CSS and HTML from the real Netflix page, pasted it onto a cheap domain they bought, and then redirected the login to submit or log credentials elsewhere. What could be stolen are, email, passwords but potentially payment card information and billing addresses, or someone looking for free Netflix accounts to use or sell.

Total money lost $4.98

Type of a scam Identity Theft

I was trying to call Netflix and I dialed (800) instead of (1-866) prefix and the people who answered the phone pretended to be Netflix. I gave them my information thinking I was calling Netflix. They deceived me. They took out $4.98 from my account. The number of the agency that took out the money is from 1-800-370-1250. This is a scam.

I received an email with a message I knew was unlikely. I immediately checked my Netflix account, changed my password, and saw that there was no message on my account. I then started an online chat and forwarded the email to Netflix’s phishing department. Then I sent it to you. I never contacted them.
