Website comes up first on Google when I searched for driver license renewal.

Site description says:

"Need to Renew Your Driver’s License? Find All The Information You Need Here. Learn All The Necessary Steps To Renew Your WA DMV Drivers License Here! DMV Change of Address. DMV License Replacement. Services: DMV License Renewal, DMV License Replacement."

"Services: DMV License Renewal" statement looks like it is offering the service of renewing state driver licenses.

For $25 and a $3.99 fee, I got a useless pamphlet, an offer for coupons, and a link to the actual DMV site I was trying to get to.

I called the customer service number and spoke to someone named "Alex" who laughed at me but said they would refund my money. They refunded the $25, but not the $3.99

I also feared that my credit card number will be stolen, so I cancelled it.

I was attempting to renew my drivers license online (I think I searched on dmv). A legitimate looking website popped up. I assumed I was paying fees. I turns out I "purchased" some sort of ebook.

I attempted to renew vehicle registrations online. Was directed to a third party website before realizing it to be a third party website. Entered information requested including credit card info thinking the next page I would enter vehicle info for the registration renewal. Clicked continue and was thanked for my order! Knew then that this was a scam. Want others to be aware and be sure you are on your states actual DMV site before giving info.

While trying to renew a Florida drivers licence, this site made me believe I was in the correct government site for Drivers licence renewals and process a payment on my debit, in which I had believed was the licence renewal charge, it was not. Apparently, they charged me $3.99 to tell me I needed to go to the Official Site (GoRenew.com). Then a couple days later they charge $19.95 to my account and I do not know why. I consider both charge Fraudulent. My bank (Suntrust) has canceled the charges and had to reissue a new debit card. SunTrust was well aware of "Drivers License Advisors" and now we need you to stop and JAIL them. Countless hours are now required to update my automatic withdrawl business’s that are Authorized to use that same debit card. Please HELP us stop and prosecute this Company.

Up late I wanted to quickly pay my car registration. I typed www.dmv.com by mistake instead of looking carefully at my registration renewal slip and going to the government website www.dmv.ca.gov. I was directed to this website: https://www.dmv.com/vehicle-registration-renewal, and then ended up at this website: https://carregistrationadvisors.org/index.html. I quickly entered my name, address, and credit card information. It never asked for my Renewal Identification Number and I received no confirmation of my vehicle VIN, not even a dollar amount was given. I did receive an email I have attached below that states: "Thank you for your purchase. Please follow the link below to download your California Car Registration Road Guide. Inside, you will find useful information regarding your drivers license related services." I was falsely lead to believe I was renewing my car registration, but instead I was really purchasing a guide book. I have yet to find out how much was charged to my credit card, and if my credit card will be used again fraudulently. The cost of the guide book is $23.98, but I have no confirmation of dollar amount charged to my credit card yet.
