Type of a scam Employment

The company found me through Indeed.com. Advertise Purchasing job where we buy items for individuals and companies all over the world and ship the items to the clients. After multiple emails; questions not answered, I have determined they are farming for information or possible employees to dump illegal money or good on. Below is an email about the job [1] and a second email [2] that is my last email to them.

Your schedule will be "at-will" during the trial period. Duties will take about 3-4 hours per day, so, you could work in the morning or after the primary job. Your main duties are: check your email a few times per day, follow your supervisor’s instructions strictly, make purchases. Your business hours depend on the quantity of orders we provide you and your ability to execute and finish the orders given.

Your personal manager will be in touch to provide you with the detailed information regarding each step. You are required to be in touch and follow all our instructions instantly. We will send you the company’s funds upfront (prior to buying). First of all, your credit card will be topped up. We are going to transfer funds for purchases to your credit card. As soon as the funds will be available you will start purchases. We are working with any bank but Capital One, American Express and Bank of America are preferred. Please let me know what is the best one for you. Before issuing your personal corporate credit card, we have to be sure that you could do everything in time.

You will be paid a salary plus commission by check or direct deposit. Your start date is the date of your first deal. The Company has a bonus plan which motivates employees to handle more orders. One type of program provides for bonuses for large numbers of completed orders. The second type of program provides bonuses for higher dollars per order. The bonuses are paid with your salary check.

Our staffing department will do a background check and send a request to get your credit report. Following your financial assessment and our Security Policy, we will let you know what amount we could trust you.

The company’s corporate card will be issued when you pass the probationary period. You will visit our office to receive a corporate debit card. We will cover all the committed expenses such as a ticket’s cost, living expenses and so on. If you are not able to travel, we will send you all the papers and card by mail. But I think it will be better for both of us to take a meet in person.

Let me know as soon as you are ready to move forward.

Sincerely,

Nancy Jackson, HR Manager

"Nancy,

Is there a reason I never had an interview? You said I had “passed” but I never did anything. Also I still have questions about the position and company. Like my scheduled trip in May and the legality of buying and then shipping internationally and the expenses I would endure during while working. The supporting documents do not match the agreement we signed yesterday.

Your BBB page is blank and caused me to pause. There are many nefarious companies out there and scams looking to take advantage. I can’t seem to find your business registration with the state of Georgia or the city of Atlanta. I understand your website says you have been in the industry since 2001, but the site itself wasn’t registered until January of 2018 only a couple months ago.

Those coupled with the discrepancies with the hiring process have left me concerned. I will need some more information before trusting you with my employment information.

Thank you
