Received message from LinkedIn about mystery shopper opportunity. Checked name of company, and company listed as a legitimate entity who does not charge money for its shoppers. Submitted email address and phone # for more info. Received text about 2 weeks later asking that I check email and mail for more detailed information and instructions related to an assignment. Then received a check for over $2,900 with letter requesting I purchase gift cards at an Apple store, then purchase 2 items with those, complete enclosed feedback form, and keep remaining amount, (approximately $300) as fee for assignment.
