Type of a scam Online Purchase

This all started when I was looking for a puppy for my five-year-old daughter and I decided to go on the internet and search for a toy poodle and this website called darling Toy Poodles popped up and it was exactly what I was looking for so I emailed the breeder a couple questions regarding their puppies and they responded instantly through text and they answered every question they even sent me pictures of the puppies and videos of the one I was interested in and they asked me if I wanted to purchase and I said that I did and they told me that I needed to send them 550 for the puppy and 150 for the shipping and that covered everything I asked how we could place the order so the puppy was ours and they told me that I needed to send them money through MoneyGram because that was the fastest way and that would guarantee that the puppy I wanted was going to be still available since all of the puppies were being sold fast. I told them that I was a little leery about sending money that way and they reassured me at this is how all of their business is done so I decided to send them the money through MoneyGram after I did so they sent me an email regarding the info that I needed to pick the puppy up from the airport the next day. But the next day I ended up getting three emails in my email from a company called Safe pets relocator and a bunch of calls from two numbers I did not know and it was these people claiming that they were the delivery service that had the puppy at the airport and that I needed to send them an additional $1,250 for the insurance and a safe crate for the puppy to traveling in, when I told them that I would not send them any money and that I need to speak to the breeder they became a little rude but told me to call and find out what was happening because they could not ship this puppy without this crate or this insurance so I contacted the so-called breeder and he told me that he was going to find out what was going on and he texted me back shortly later and told me that this was for the insurance in the crate I told him that I refuse to pay any additional money because it was not specified only the 700 was specified and that was for the shipping also and he told me that was for the shipping but not for insurance and I still need to pay for insurance on the puppy. He even stated that you would not buy a car without getting insurance on it and he was very rude to me when I told him I had no more money to send and all the meantime I kept getting more calls from these two numbers and when I would answer it was from these men who sounded like they were either from Jamaica or India or Nigeria it was very hard to tell their accent because the phone was very muffled and it was being cut off and very hard to hear and they were becoming very rude with me telling me that I needed to send them the money or the puppy was going to die at the airport because I refused to send money I even told them I was not sending any money and that I realized that I was scammed and that is when they became even ruder and told me that I was sick in the head for even suggesting it and then the breeder kept calling me and it was definitely confirmed I was scammed because the breeders voice was the same voice of the people from the delivery service who supposedly had the puppy at the airport in Chicago I told them both to never contact me again and that I realized I was scammed. I decided to call the cops right after in Ohio and in my home state of Pennsylvania and they both told me puppy scams are a huge thing and that I wouldn’t get my money back. But I decided to call MoneyGram and let them know and they let me know which CVS buildings in Ohio these scammers picked up the money,so I called these CVS’s and spoke to people and explained what happened and they told me that they had video surveillance so we could possibly catch who these people were if the cops wanted to take this further. I know I will never get my money back but I’m hoping this does not happen to anybody else. Because I feel ashamed and embarrassed that I let this happen I’m very upset that I was so trusting with my money and I still don’t have a puppy for my five year old who was promised a puppy but even after all of this the funny thing is these numbers keep calling me and they even texted me asking if I was contacting them regarding their puppy poodles that they have for sale because obviously they can’t keep track of how many people they are scamming and think that I’m somebody new as opposed to somebody they had already scammed. These are horrible people and hopefully they are stopped soon.
